When Elizabeth founded Tea of Life in 2015, she did not look outward for ingredients. She looked at what this extraordinary land already offered: botanicals that had sustained communities here for generations, backed by both traditional knowledge and modern science.

Using South African botanicals is not simply a flavour decision. It is a statement about provenance, integrity and pride. Every bottle of Tea of Life that contains buchu, honeybush or rooibos is a celebration of what grows here and a commitment to never substituting real ingredients for cheaper, imported alternatives.

Did you know? The Cape Floristic Region, home to buchu and honeybush, is one of only six floral kingdoms on earth and contains more plant species per square kilometre than the Amazon rainforest. South Africa is sitting on one of the world's great botanical treasures. We brew with it.
