BREWED THE RIGHT WAY

Where most kombucha is fermented in 7 to 10 days, ours takes up to 30. Every can in the Tea of Life range is brewed to the same uncompromising standard — real ingredients, a living SCOBY culture, and no pasteurisation. Ever.

The 250ml can format brings REAL kombucha into every occasion — from the lunchbox to the bar, from the gym bag to the dinner table. All the live cultures and organic acids of our glass bottle range, in a convenient, chillable can that travels anywhere.

THE FIVE STAGES OF REAL FERMENTATION

01 The Tea (or botanical base) — Carefully chosen for flavour and functional depth.
02 The Culture — A living SCOBY transforms the base over weeks of slow fermentation.
03 Slow Fermentation — Up to 30 days. Lower sugar. Richer cultures. No shortcuts.
04 Second Fermentation — Sealed in aluminium. Natural carbonation builds from within. No added CO2.
05 No Pasteurisation — Never. The living cultures remain fully active in every can.

Live Cultures · Unpasteurised · No Added CO2 · Brewed in Cape Town · Gluten Free · Halaal Certified

Distinctly South African. In a can.

Buchu is one of South Africa's most revered indigenous herbs. Paired with lemon zest on a black and green tea base, this is bright, aromatic, and unlike anything else in the range. The one that could only come from the Cape.

The Brew

Buchu water at 1% and lemon zest at 0.2%, brewed on a black and green tea base. Buchu is a small aromatic shrub indigenous to the Western Cape fynbos, used traditionally for centuries. Its essential oils carry a distinctive herbal, citrus-adjacent character that is entirely its own. Buchu is traditionally associated with supporting urinary tract health and digestion.

REAL, unpasteurised, Halaal certified. Brewed in Cape Town since 2015.

As a mixer

Swap the soda for Buchu Lemon in your mojito — white rum, mint, lime, and this can. Also excellent with fynbos gin or plain tequila. Garnish with fresh mint and a slice of lemon.

Buchu is traditionally associated with supporting urinary tract health and digestion.

HOW TO SERVE

Temperature
Serve ice cold — 4 to 6°C. The cans are best kept in the fridge and served directly from cold.

Serving
Pour over ice into a glass to fully appreciate the colour and aroma. Or drink directly from the can — this is REAL kombucha in its most convenient form.

Opening
Open slowly. The natural carbonation builds during storage and the cans are pressurised. Always open over a glass or sink and tilt slightly as you crack the ring pull.

Storage
Keep refrigerated at all times. Store upright. Consume within 3 days of opening if you choose to reseal — though they are best finished in a single serve.

Sediment
Natural yeast strands or fine sediment may be visible. This is a sign of genuine fermentation — safe and beneficial to consume.

As a mixer
Tea of Life cans are built for the bar. All six flavours work with spirits — pour less spirit, skip the sugary mixers, and let REAL flavour lead. See individual product pages for specific serve suggestions per flavour.
